I liked this movie
I liked this movie very much. It is thought provoking and I could not predict where the story was going. For me it is a movie about human nature. Very well done.

Deep, Intelligent and thought provoking
I can't remember where I first found out about this movie. Possibly the internet somehow. Either way I wrote it down on a sticky tab that also included 'Beasts of the Southern Wild', 'Iron Cross' and 'Brave'. So fast forward all these many months and I finally watched 'The Custom Mary' on Hulu Plus.

Having watched the movie, what one of the other reviewers (the director I think) said is very true in that this can be a very intensely spiritual movie if that's what you want to see. But that isn't what the movie is about. If you chose to see this movie in a very atheist and/or agnostic way, then there is plenty for you to see here too but it isn't about that either. Neither do you have to be African American or Latino in order to watch and connect with these characters because this movie isn't about race or religion either.

Interesting concept
I thought this movie was very original. Movie held my attention till the end. Actors believable in their roles...well cast.
